History KOKS Robotics

KOKS Robotics was founded after the KOKS Group took over business from ADROC Tech s.r.o. So when we want to tell you about the history of KOKS Robotics, we first need to start with ADROC Tech. The company was founded on the 18th of January 2011 with the primary focus on developing robotic solutions for the decommissioning of nuclear plants and reactors. The focus of the founders Mr. Dusan Majersky and Mr. Vladimir Hrivnak has always been to create safe solutions and eliminate unnecessary human exposure to dangerous environments. With their extensive experience in development, design and manufacture of remotely operated devices, vehicles and advanced robotic cleaning technologies they started their new adventure as ADROC Tech s.r.o.

Robotic solutions for nuclear cleaning and tank cleaning

After experiencing that a robotic solution isn't only working for the nuclear industry, but also for the tank cleaning, ADROC Tech started a new project. The request from the market and the willingness from partner in the industrial cleaning to further develop the robotic system to ensure that this would be a success for an industrial application took them on a new path. The enthusiastic and competent ADROC Tech engineers dug into this new industry. They designed a robot that became the first registered ATEX Zone 0 robot for the industrial tank cleaning. Over the years and with the feedback from the market, the tank cleaning system has been perfected.

Acquisition of ADROC Tech s.r.o. by KOKS Group

By the end of 2019 the board of directors of ADROC Tech and the KOKS Group started to explore the future possibilities. In December of 2019, the KOKS Group acquired ADROC Tech s.r.o.

Primary reason is that the KOKS Group believes that non-man entry cleaning will become an industrial standard in the near future that all tanks will be cleaned by non-man entry. The robotic solution along with the KOKS vacuum trucks will make it easier for the users to have one point of contact for all needed equipment to fulfil their tank cleaning job in an efficient, timely, environmentally friendly but above all a safely manner.

KOKS Robotics is market leader and manufacturer of innovative no-man-entry tank cleaning robotics for ATEX zone 0. KOKS Robotics is part of the Dutch company KOKS Group an international manufacturer and supplier of vacuum trucks and heavy industrial cleaning equipment, built in accordance with the latest PED, ADR (Ceoc), DOT 407/412 standards. Founded in 1989 and has since grown into a dynamic company that operates globally and consists of eight specialised subsidiaries in the USA, The Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia and participations in rental organizations that operate in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. As a growing, innovative, healthy and reliable company, KOKS Group has gained an excellent reputation in the (petro)chemical sector and other industries as a vacuum truck builder.
